How did you approach finding the different elements that you included in your Scoop It post? What keywords, hashtags, or other methods did you use to narrow or expand your search?
Originally, I picked the theme for this assignment to be “reaching your target market” because it was referenced throughout day one; beginning with a global assessment of internet accessibility that helped us to think deeper about which geographical areas are able to interact online. However, I soon realized that it is at the core of every engagement, in that you can’t communicate with your end user unless you know “where” they are and how they prefer to receive your message.

Why did you decide to include the elements you did? What were the criteria you used in order to decide an element was worth including?
Firstly, it was important that the included elements were practical and provided effective tips or advice on reaching a target market. Secondly, the elements needed to be succinct, because I wanted the scoop.it to act as more of a resource than informational. Lastly, I included a Link, on this blog post, to a site where you can create online quizzes, so that after you've reached your target market, you can create a quiz and engage with them.
Do you think your post gives a "full picture” of your issue? Why or why not?
My post is not an exhaustive guide on “reaching your target market”, this was done intentionally so that readers would be able to quickly take away a few tips that they could implement as a part of their own marketing efforts.
Do you think you could use your Scoop It post as a starting point for writing a longer academic essay? If so, how? If not, why not?
My Scoop.it post could be used as a starting point for an academic essay because “reaching your target market” is the underlying component to every marketing strategy, which could be the basis of a more in-depth analysis.
